What damage am I responsible for?
Your rental includes collision insurance (CDW), so for most accidental damage you're only responsible up to your excess — the amount is shown clearly when you book. There are just two things insurance doesn't cover, and both are easy to avoid: Undercarriage damage (damage to the underside of the vehicle) and Water & river crossings (any damage caused by driving through water or rivers — river crossings are extremely dangerous and not permitted unless we have specifically authorised it for a 4×4). Damage from driving on closed or prohibited roads, reckless driving, or driving under the influence also isn't covered. Everything else — normal bumps, scrapes, and accidental collision damage — is covered under your insurance, up to your excess. We'll walk through the camper together at pickup and note anything already there, and we recommend a few quick photos for peace of mind. Stay on legal roads, skip the river crossings, and you're fully protected.
