What damage am I responsible for?

Your rental includes collision insurance (CDW), so for most accidental damage you are only responsible up to your excess — the amount is shown when you book. Insurance does not cover undercarriage damage or water and river crossings (river crossings are not permitted unless we have specifically authorised them for a 4×4). Damage from closed roads, reckless driving, or driving under the influence is also not covered. We walk through the camper together at pickup and note anything already there.

What's included in the rental?

Every hire includes unlimited kilometres, free airport transfer from KEF, bedding, a fuel discount chip, and 24/7 phone support. Most of our campers have a diesel night heater that works without a campsite hook-up. The 4×4 roof-tent campers are summer campers. Free extra driver is only on the Premium 2 and Trafic 3.

Do I need a 4×4?

Only if your route goes into the Highlands or onto F-roads. For the Ring Road and the lowlands, a 2WD camper is enough. F-roads legally need a 4×4.

What's the minimum age / licence requirement?

Minimum driver age is 18. You need a driving licence held for at least one year. Drivers under 20 must take Gold or Platinum cover.

What's your cancellation policy?

How does pickup at Keflavík work?

Our desk is at Smiðjuvellir 80 in Keflavík, about 7 minutes from the airport. Airport transfer is free: we collect you at KEF and bring you to the desk, and drive you back at the end of the trip.
