Every Foxie camper comes with Basic cover. Gold and Platinum lower your excess and drop the deposit. Here is what each one covers, side by side.

The deposit
With Basic, we hold up to 350,000 ISK on a credit card at pick-up and release it when you return the camper.
With Gold or Platinum there is no deposit, and a debit card is fine.
Never covered, whichever cover you choose
- Water or river damage
- Damage to the underbody
- Driving off-road
- Driving on closed roads
- Driving after drink or drugs
- Drivers not listed on the rental agreement
Good to know
- Drivers under 20 must take Gold or Platinum.
- Booked with Basic? You can upgrade to Gold or Platinum later in My booking.
- The price per day of Gold and Platinum depends on the camper and shows on each camper page when you book.
- Some partner campers come with their partner's own cover. Their camper page shows it.
Is insurance included in a Foxie camper rental?
Yes. Every rental includes Basic cover, with third-party liability and a collision damage waiver (CDW). Its excess is 350,000 ISK.
Is there a deposit?
With Basic, we hold up to 350,000 ISK on a credit card at pick-up and release it when you return the camper. With Gold or Platinum there is no deposit, and a debit card is fine.
What do Gold and Platinum add?
Both add gravel, theft, super collision damage waiver (SCDW) and sand and ash cover, with no deposit. Gold lowers the excess to 50,000 ISK, Platinum to 0 ISK.
What is never covered?
Water or river damage, Damage to the underbody, Driving off-road, Driving on closed roads, Driving after drink or drugs, Drivers not listed on the rental agreement
